Slavni Bob Dilan je zbog svog rada osvojio i Nobelovu nagradu za književnost 2016. godine jer je "stvorio nov poetski izraz unutar velike američke pesničke tradicije".

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), globalni lider u Publishingu, objavila je danas da je došla u posed čitavog kataloga Dilanovih pesama. Jody Gerson, generalna direktorka UMPG rekla je: "Predstavljati celokupan katalog jednog od najvećih pesnika i kompozitora svih vremena - čija važnost i veličina ne mogu da se precene - je velika privilegija i odgovornost. OD svojih početaka, ranih šezdesetih godina prošlog veka, Bob do danas, Dilan je prodao preko 125 miliona ploča dok su njegove pesme snimljene preko 6000 puta od strane drugih izvođača. Neke od ovih pesama su najpopularnije pesme koje je svet poznavao.

Dylan’s singular body of work earned him a Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016 "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition"

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), Universal Music Group’s leading, global music publishing division, today announced the acquisition of Bob Dylan’s entire catalog of songs. This landmark agreement encompasses more than 600 copyrights spanning 60 years, from 1962’s cultural milestone “Blowin’ In The Wind” to this year’s epic “Murder Most Foul.”

UMPG Chairman & CEO Jody Gerson said, “To represent the body of work of one of the greatest songwriters of all time - whose cultural importance can’t be overstated - is both a privilege and a responsibility.
